Blockchain’s night out: the Coin Center Annual Dinner is back!

This gala event is a night to let loose and celebrate another great year for the blockchain ecosystem, all while supporting Coin Center's policy advocacy mission.

Coin Center is pleased to announce the 2017 Coin Center Annual Dinner, a gala affair in support of our policy advocacy mission. The event will be held on Monday, May 22, alongside the Consensus 2017 conference in New York City. Think of it as an extra special way to celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day. Could it be that day’s biggest party yet?

Wences Casares, CEO of Xapo, will be the evening’s keynote speaker. Casares has been a central figure in driving Bitcoin forward since the earliest days and has an unshakable vision for the technology.

We were thrilled to host a full house at last year’s dinner. From what we hear, everyone in attendance thoroughly enjoyed an opportunity to eat, drink, and mingle with some of the best and brightest of the blockchain ecosystem. Last year’s speakers gave rousing speeches, with remarks from Coin Center executive director Jerry Brito, Union Square Ventures co-founder Fred Wilson, and U.S. Representative Mick Mulvaney.

While this is certainly going to be a fun event, it is more than a good time. For over two years now, Coin Center has been working tirelessly to protect the rights of innovators using digital currencies and open blockchain technologies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Your ticket will directly contribute to our continuing work during this crucial time when regulatory efforts around blockchains are ramping up.
